What about ZeroTier support?

There's no plan to add ZeroTier at present.

Wow, this is bad news. Unfortunately GL.iNet doesn't have a policy to have a base additional feature-set (like Tailscale, Zerotier.... that is being supported on whatever new product / (router /also your new KVM...) being released.

That's bad for news customers, to be subject to the whims of the product management.
In my case I ZeroTier is great to find the shortest route (without using the WAN connection) to connect to other members of the "SAN" (which Tailscale / your own AstroWarp normally do)......
Especially in your upcoming Comet KVM solution this would be really welcoming feature for frequently changing setups (it makes a huge difference in performance if you route your realtime data like KVM data directly in LAN or via the slow / high latency WAN interface....)
It would be great to rethink and modify your product strategy...

Due to the limitations of 128MB FLASH and 512MB DDR, compared with the Spitz AX, some non-core functions of the Spitz Plus were removed in the V4.5. x version, and some were added in the V4.7. x version. Regarding the remaining functions, we will conduct a detailed assessment with the team. Thank you for your feedback!

The attachment is the latest V4.7.5. Please check.

Okay I've tried to upgrade coming from R01A10...

ssh root@192.168.8.1

  1.mkdir /firmware
  2.cd /firmware
  3.wget http://download.gl-inet.com.s3.amazonaws.com/cellular/EG120K/EG120KEAAAR01A11M2G_01.200.01.200.zip
  4.unzip EG120KEAAAR01A11M2G_01.200.01.200.zip -d EG120KEAAAR01A11M2G_01.200.01.200
  5.QFirehose -f EG120KEAAAR01A11M2G_01.200.01.200
  6.reboot

Problem is - md5.txt file is missing in the provided zip file.

[000.000]: Cann't find md5.txt in EG120KEAAAR01A11M2G_01.200.01.200, Please check it!
[000.001]: gl-sdk4-modem-git-2025.055.31428-7c4d387/quec_UPGRADE/qfirehose.c main 293 fail

When skipping MD5 check with

QFirehose -n -f EG120KEAAAR01A11M2G_01.200.01.200

there's also an error:

[000.000]: gl-sdk4-modem-git-2025.055.31428-7c4d387/quec_UPGRADE/qfirehose.c system_ready 123 fail
[000.000]: gl-sdk4-modem-git-2025.055.31428-7c4d387/quec_UPGRADE/qfirehose.c main 299 fail

@Summer Can you please provide a working zip file containing the new firmware and the md5.txt file?

Did you update the firmware to 4.7.4 before attempting to update the modem firmware?

You need to upgrade to v4.7.4 first. Then, enter the page and click "Module Local Upgrade".

Thanks for enlightening me
So I did a clean UBOOT upgrade to 4.7.4 first and then "Module Online Upgrade" showed me immediately R01A11 as available.
Online upgrade via Cellular went like a charm - all super smooth and my modem is now on R01A11 :+1:
Thanks for your support guys!

It would be nice to see available downloads and Beta's here:

GL.iNet download center

rather than seeing them flying around as loose download links in some forum posts and still showing v4.5.22 as latest official Beta for GL-X2000 which is definitively outdated.

@TeWe Oh, the new firmware needs undergo testing first. It's anticipated that it will be updated to the official website today and released as a Beta version.

How soon will Tailscale be available in the stable version?

The Tailscale function is currently available in the 4.7.5 Beta firmware. After completing all functional acceptance tests, it is expected to be included in the stable version around June 6th.
For updates, you can monitor the firmware download page: GL.iNet download center

Looks much better than my temporary solution.

Hi All,
I have a GL-X3000 but just advised my friend to go with a X-2000 as didnt want to spend the extra and will suit the needs fine for a caravan. One question though what is a good external Antenna for this as will be different to the 3000?
Thanks
