KVM and BIOS/Bitlocker

Hi all,

I saw a post related to no signal when the device starts and uses BitLocker. I’m facing the same issue here, but additionally, I don’t get an HDMI signal even when starting into the BIOS/UEFI Settings.

Is there anything we can do to solve it, or just wait until an update to the Comet is provided?

Thanks!

Could you please tell me what kind of device you are accessing. Have you tried to change the EDID.
Please export the log to us.

hmm this sound the usb are maybe not powered at that stage.

Have you tried to use a splitter to have the power source from somewhere else?

Something like this one connection for power and the other for data.

Some motherboards have a option to turn on usb, even when powered off, (it will still toggle connection due to different boot stages).

Running into something similiar. I can see the screen however keyboard access is not working during the bitlocker pin screen (I have USB enabled at boot and if I plug in a usb keyboard it works)

We have reproduced this issue. During the BitLocker PIN entry process, when a computer with a built-in display (such as a laptop) is connected to an external monitor and KVM, there may be no HDMI signal output. This situation may also occur on headless systems (without built-in displays). This is expected behavior. Additionally, we have tested and confirmed that the keyboard remains functional during this process. Please first check the connection status of your devices. If the issue persists, provide relevant device information and logs, and contact us for further assistance.

Heh, that confuses me.

The only reason I could think, is having the kvm power source connected to the pc, and bitlocker shutsdown the usb for security, therefor having a splitted power source would solve it, the restarting of the kvm is enough that the screen is not detected.

If all screens are down, the first prioritized screen would be the kvm, this is what i'd recall under headless, but if that fails it keeps black.

On jetkvm I have it setup like this with veracrypt and splitter, I would think it will work the same as on bitlocker, unless bitlocker does something special.

A computer without a built-in monitor should have an HDMI signal. Sorry for the mistake.
