Looking for the last version?

Hi, I have the mt6000 flint2, and I tried 2 different versions here but both had a pretty old kernel, don’t know if I am looking at the right place, I guess so ; GL.iNet download center

this is the latest and great release from the team

You are looking at the right place, the kernel isn't updated that often.

Si what is your latest kernel?

Why not update it sometimes or a little more often?

Not sure about the actual kernel version, but I would say it's OpenWrt 21.
OpenWrt 24 can be used with this firmware image: GL.iNet download center

Since GL.iNet subjects all firmware to appropriate stability tests (and is partially dependent on third-party providers such as MediaTek), the kernel is only updated when it is particularly advantageous or relevant to security.

The main GLUi version has openwrt 21 and the openwrt version has 24.10 if you want the latest kernel then you can flash vanilla openwrt but you’ll lose glinet ui.

I prefer open wrt vanilla cause I can build my own image but the glinet UI is cool. But, I cant reproduce the wifi speed with vanilla, the glinet firmware is faster.

Mostly due to the optimized (but proprietary) Wi-Fi driver.
But the open source one is getting better, so hopefully there will be no difference in future.
