Microsoft Surface Pro Client

I would like to use my Comet Pro with a Microsoft Surface Pro which only has a USB-A & USB-C connecter, so no HDMI. I could get a USB-C to HDMI cable, but then I wouldn’t have a USB-C port for the keyboard/mouse from the Comet.

I could also get a USB-C hub that has a USB-C and HDMI socket (along with several others), so that both the HDMI and USB-C cable from the Comet plug into the hub. Would this work? I would like to know before spending more money on the hub.

The Surface Pro's USB-C port supports USB 3.1/USB 3.2 and DisplayPort Alt Mode. Consider purchasing a multi-functional USB-C hub that supports video output.

I’m sorry, I should have replied earlier.

I needed something quickly (as usual) to help a client, so I bought an Anker A83D2 7-1 USB-C Hub as it was only 21.99€ on Amazon and seemed to fit the requirements. It worked absolutely perfectly, the only downside being that as the Surface recognised it as the second monitor I couldn’t get into the BIOS at bootup time. The latency was excellent and everything else worked straight out of the box.

I thought I’d add this information in case anyone else finds themselves in the same position.

Thank for your sharing, can you try the desktop duplication on Surface ?
