Mifi not booting with Sim card

Hi,

I have a strange problem with my new mifi with EC25 E modem.

Whenever I insert my sim card the mifi wont boot up.

When I remove my sim card the system will boot up after some seconds.

Starting without inserted sim card is no proplem.

Could this be a software proplem? I got actual firmware 2.264 and tried factory reset with no success.

Tested Sim card with mikrotik router and USB Modem, works without problems…

Is there any log file I can read, that keeps it log after reboot?

I could extract that from log file:

Is that MiFi with battery or without? Have you plug in the power cable?

Hi, thanks for your answer.

Its MIFI with battery, no I haven’t pluged in the power cable.

I’ll try it with plugged in power cable.

Earlier today I I tried with different sim card from different provider, still no success…

No success with pluged in power cable.

With an inserted sim card wifi led is flashing for a short time than 3g/4g led is flashing, than just everything exept power led gets dark.

That will repeat every 30 seconds.

Is there a way to test if my Mifi has a faulty modem or a faulty sim holder?

Very late reply but perhaps will help someone … had the exact problem.

SOLVED by putting a layer of scotch tape on the back of the SIM card and trimmed with a razor. This put additional pressure on the sim and it connects now.

My unit has the sim constantly put in and taken out, it’s a demo unit so we expected some kind of wear.

Hope this helps.
