MLO roaming on Slate 7

Hello there.

I'm wanting to set up around 10 slate 7s spread out around a building over multiple floors, all hardwired back to a switch.

Using another slate 7 in repeater, client mode, I'm wanting to roam between the 10 access points with seamless handover. I'm streaming low latency IP video via the ‘client’ slate 7 to a decoder hardwired in local network. From what I have read, MLO is a big advantage in this type of use case.

Can I confirm that MLO works while in Repeater/ client mode.

Any settings I should be aware of for seamless roaming handovers?

Does anyone have experience in this type of setup with Wi-Fi 7 MLO?

Many thanks for your time.

Scott

Hi

It appears we cannot meet your requirements at this time.
Currently, the Slate 7 does not support connecting to MLO networks, nor does it support roaming in Repeater/Wi-Fi client mode.

Thank you for the information.

Can I load open wtr on the unit and configurate myself?

As the stock firmware is based on QSDK, configuration options for MLO are not available in Luci. Therefore, it may also be impossible to control its behaviour via Luci.

Additionally, the Slate 7 currently lacks support from the open-source community, meaning that it cannot run native OpenWRT.
