Mt1300 sd card issues

When ever i try to format the sd card using mkfs.ext4 /dev/mmcblk0p1 my ssh terminal freezes while creating journal. I’ve let it sit as long as 25 minutes, the same process takes less than 2 minutes on an ar750. I’ve tried on three different sd cards. The same cards work in an sd card adapter plugged into the usb, and can be formatted. After formatting in the adapter they function normally when placed into the sd card slot.

I’m also running into problems trying to get extroot running and wonder if this is related. While following this guide: [OpenWrt Wiki] Extroot configuration
The process fails at this command: mount ${DEVICE} /mnt saying failed to mount ‘/dev/mmcblk0p1’ invalid argument the device doesn’t seem to have a valid ntfs signature.

Anyone have any advice?

I have the same problem. However, everything went smoothly on one card. But for others it doesn’t work anymore. I have already made a thread about it.

A little more info from dmsg that might help figure it out.
