MT3000: Cannot connect RSN IE VALIDATE FAIL

Hi Guys!
I have a strange problem.
Bought a new GL-MT3000.
I try to connect to a 2.4Ghz WPA-PSK secured Wifi (Channel 1).
The thing is, connection fails.
The Log is full of the following error:
[ 1001.524033] 7981@C13L1,sta_join_peer_response_matched() 993: RSN IE VALIDATE FAIL

I already updated to the newest firmware, even beta one, no luck.
I also disabled the mac randomize feature and used the real one.
What i need is BSSID Binding, but that shouldn't be an issue.
Also tried via Luci Interface...again without any luck.
Disabled all the other Default 2.4Ghz Wifi Network, nope...

Also looked around in this forum but couldn't find anything.
Any help is appreciated.

I also have a gl-ar750 which works like a charm with that exact same Network.
I can still return the device, if it is too buggy...

Hi,

  1. please try the op24 firmware: GL.iNet download center
  2. what are the primary Wi-Fi info: 5GHz or 2.4GHz? ax or ac or n? WPA2 or WPA3?

Hi Bruce!

Yes!
It works with op24 Firmware, even with randomize Mac.
Thank you for your help!

Is this Fimware safe to use and do you know if it also gets updated regularly?
I like the MT3000 and would keep it, but i do need a stable one (like the ar-750, but faster).

Thank you for your feedback.

That is safe and available and has independent updates.
For example, it recently released OP24-4.7.x.
