MT300N Failsafe Mode

I understand that ssh and telnet are not available on this device in failsafe mode. I’ve tried - the device answers to pings, but ssh and telnet refuse connection attempts. I am experimenting with changes in /etc/config, and it would be useful to be able to recover from a mistake without having to reflash the firmware. If, for example, I get the firewall settings wrong and get locked out, is there any way to fix or restore files in /etc/config without resorting to a reflash?

I didn’t test the failsafe mode.

If the router still boot, you can press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds to erase all your settings.

Pressing reset for 10 seconds during boot enters failsafe mode, but telnet and ssh refuse connections in this mode.

Pressing reset for 10 seconds after the unit has powered up does indeed do a factory reset, and does restore the contents of /etc/config. This is exactly what I was looking for.
