for the simple luci firmware with wifi to make room for install of a ~3mb package. However, the wifi does not work.

The configuration from the Network-Wireless menu is displaying error

Wireless is disabled or not associated

There are also issues with the interface (can’t operate the dropdown menus for mode, band, channel, width) and there is only WEP for security.

Tried uninstalling wpad-mini and using wpa-supplicant, but no change. Also tried a manual configuration but got error message

‘nl80211’ generic netlink not found

Any ideas about what to try next?

Just ran the command as described on that page, did not alter anything. Tried again today, same result.
