hi, i have a problem with a MT300N-V2 router, with firmware 3.216, until recently everything was fine, but now i have a problem related to vpn, in the router i see vpn connected, instead the devices connected to the router, take the ip of the main network i.e. they are not connected to the vpn, why? thanks

Which VPN do you use?

i have tried many, hide, proton, express, fast, pia, with openvpn,
the proton with wireguard

Do you use any VPN policies or just "Global"?

i have other routers on my cloud, and i don't have these problems

So, just for my understanding:

  • You are using an MT300N-V2
  • You connect devices directly to the MT300N-V2
  • On the MT300N-V2 VPN WireGuard client is active with using paid services
  • VPN connection shows green
  • Devices that connect to the MT300N-V2 show your real IP instead of the VPN one

You did not change anything on the router itself? Firmware updates, doing stuff using SSH and so on?

In that case I would say:

  • Create a backup of your config using luci
  • Restore router to default and check if the issue still exists
  • If it does not, reload the config backup - check again
