I am trying to create an ssid for use for a wireless link to router which I will be putting in my work shop. It will then need to provide wifi to the work shop and also wired service to the work shop and actually provide more than one vlan to the work shop. The first step would be to add a new dedicated ssid and as you can see I can't seem to make this work.
Hello,
Please refer to this guide to add the custom WiFi:
how you created it ?
looks like you haven't assign network (interface) to the AP.
I gave up a while ago on using the hard coded guest thing.
I have been doing most of this in luci.
I now have a vlan called visitors which does the same thing.
All of that has been working. Two ssids for 2.4 two for 5. All of that worked.
The problem has been when I tried to add a third 5 network.
Used LUCI
clicked on wireless and then add for Generic 802.11anacax
Gave it an essid and then attached it to the "lan" am planning to change this once I get it working. Gave it password in the security settings
Did save and apply and then did a reboot.
Hi,
May if possible, please share your network configuration with us to learn about this, remove the MAC address part.
uci show network
uci show wireless
or
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
