Decided to move this into a separate issue. On the MT6000, after configuring it, the Wireless page's contents went p00f. I think I do see a very short "network error occurred" message in red while its being displayed for the first time.
I performed the actions suggested by 'bruce':
uci set wireless.default_radio0.ifname='wlan1'
uci set wireless.default_radio1.ifname='wlan0'
uci set wireless.guest5g.ifname='wlan1-1'
uci set wireless.guest2g.ifname='wlan0-1'
uci commit wireless
reboot
but that did just produce errors, not any changes.
