Mudi 7 vs Netgear Nighthawk MR6150 cell performance?

I am in the US and am have a Netgear M6 Nighthawk MR6150 that I use on T-Mobile. Would the Mudi 7 be an upgrade? I am specifically looking for an upgrade for cellular data speeds and I know the Mudi has a newer chipset - SDX62 vs 72. The Wi-Fi performance is not a deciding factor - maybe a tie breaker. This will be used in mixed areas - but not really in highly dense urban areas - I live in a city of about 200,000 people. Upload speed is a big deal to me. OpenWRT is a plus for sure.

MR6150 bands - Sub-6GHz 5G and 4G LTE, designed for major North American carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon). Key bands include 5G Sub-6: n2, n5, n12, n14, n25, n30, n41, n48, n66, n71, n77; and LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 25, 26, 29, 30, 41, 46, 48, 66, 71. It does NOT support 5G mmWave - but I am not sure how much this matters IRL.

I bought the M6 Pro as a bundle with an external antenna and a second battery so I could stream live on YouTube and Twitch.

The problem with the Netgear M6 Pro, however, is the heat it generates. After 30 minutes of battery operation and live streaming, it got so hot that it first reduced its performance and then shut down—a reproducible issue. The ambient temperature was 20 degrees, and the router was sitting out in the open, not inside a case. Netgear’s solution is to remove the battery, leave the cover open, and run the router using an external power bank...
The antenna didn’t need any improvement in reception either.

I’ve since performed the same test multiple times with the Mudi 7 without any issues; the battery temperature was max. 31 degrees. With the Netgear, it was 53 degrees.
