Mudi v2 esim connectivity

Dear GL.iNet Support Team,

I am experiencing persistent network dropouts on my Mudi V2 (GL-E750V2) when using a physical EIOT Club eSIM.

The issue presents as follows:

  • The router initially connects to the mobile network successfully.

  • After some time, the connection drops and shows “No Network”, with an exclamation mark (!) next to the signal indicator.

  • This occurs repeatedly and makes the connection unreliable.

Important comparison:

  • When I use a local physical SIM card from the same location, the connection is stable with no dropouts.

  • This suggests the hardware and cellular signal itself are not the issue.

Additional details:

  • The router is running the latest firmware.

  • APN settings have been checked and configured correctly.

  • The issue only occurs with the physical EIOT Club eSIM, not standard SIM cards.

I would like to ask:

  1. Is this a known issue with physical eSIMs on the Mudi V2?

  2. Are there any recommended settings, modem tweaks, or workarounds (e.g. network mode, roaming settings, band locking)?

  3. Would you recommend a specific firmware version or modem configuration for improved eSIM stability?

Any guidance or troubleshooting steps you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

Hello,

Please ensure the APN for your esim has been configured properly. If you know the correct APN, manually enter it to the router and apply it.

Connectivity issues may be related to signal strength. Try binding the SIM card to a different frequency band. In the admin panel, check the Cell Info to identify the current bands in use. Then, go to Cellular Manual Setup, enable Band Masking, set it to "block" mode, and select the current frequency band.

If the issue remains frequent, please export the system log when problem happens and send to me to check. Thanks~
