I'm pondering if such a setup can work. I would want to use the GL-X3000 in AP mode after a Firewalla device with network segmentation based on 3 VLANs. I can imagine that this would work with the GL-X3000 connected via WAN port to a modem. But what if I also want to use the SIM card for failover or load balancing, could this work?
No. The AP mode will only use Ethernet as WAN.
If order to do failover or load balancing, the X3000 has to work in router mode.

That's what I thought. I might hook the Firewalla device into the LAN port this would let me control the main network with it, I think
