I need to create a site-to-site connection with my local network while traveling. The goal is to be able to travel with my laptop and, once the VPN connection is established, use my local public IP to connect to a VPN (Pulse) that will give me access to the corporate network. I was wondering if this option is possible and if it would support a VPN connection within the one already established by WireGuard or OpenVPN. I have purchased the Brume 2 model as a server and the Beryl AX as a client for this task.
I regularly run different VPN protocols tunneled through Wireguard or OpenVPN links for various reasons, using GL.iNet routers. That said, it’s important to test this setup before traveling, as there are many subtle issues that can prevent it from working.
Please note that this only hides your IP address, and does not hide any other location tools your company may be using. Also, if this is important to your job, make sure you have a backup plan if your routers or your home network has an issue while you are traveling.
