No Internet Connection! Find a network to reconnect. GL-MT2500A

Is the cable in WAN providing the internet access at all? What does your topology looks like?

I can ping from it, so I would say the internet side is working. The blue LED is white, indicating it has internet. It seems to me that it hasn't given the USB Hard Drive a name.

Rebooted the MT2500 again and it has reappeared on the network.
I think I'll leave it as it is as appears to be doing what it should be doing and see if all is well tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed and report back tomorrow.
Thanks

It seems that you have got everything working correctly.

A new day.

And it's working.

Thanks a lot everyone.

Just one question alzhao, what/why "undefined" in the above snap shot?

It doesn't work. What does work though is "\\GL-MT2500\". Which displays a folder named "disk". The name I gave it when I set it up. All my stuff is there.

Some software glitch I assume?

This should be the volume label of your USB. Do you have a volume label? Pls try add one.

If you have one already then it is buggy.

Yep it has a label. The hard disk in the USB holder has four partitions. Two without labels (400MB & 260 MB) and the others two are Labelled Windows (910GB) & Recovery (20GB).

The MT2500 can only see the latter two.

The first two without label seems some hidden drive for system use. Better not to use them.

So it would seem that the address it's giving (\\Undefined\disk\) is made up from the first partition (which is one of the Windows hidden system partitions) and the alias name I set for the hard drive, instead of giving me "\\GL-MT2500\disk\".

So unless you want me to do anything else for you, I will give this back to my daughter for it's intended use. As it seems to be behaving it's self.
