Hello, I have a working spectrum modem, which I to connect to the new GL-MT6000. What’s already talking to the hotline from spectrum. The modem is working perfectly. But when connected to the router the bud lights in the modem are orange. In the router there is no bud light. In the routers serup page it says only that there is ni internet. Can you help me, please? Thanks

Do you have a old router and want to change to MT6000?

There are several directions to solve this:

  1. If you used an old router, the modem will lock the mac address of the old router. So when you change to MT6000 it will not connect immediatelly. You can: (a) Just wait longer; (b) Clone the old router's mac address to MT6000; (c) reset/reboot the modem; (d) call your ISP
  2. Check what is the correct settings of the router to connect to the modem. Is it PPPoE? Do you need to specific vlan ID?

Always post withe images and screenshots it will help.

Hi, b worked! It helped to take the MAC address from the previous router and put it manually to the new one.

I am glad that it worked.

The best way is that you reboot the modem or have it turnned off for 30 mintues so that it accept the new mac address. Otherwise next time in case you reset the router and the problem appear again and you may not remeber how it happens.
