OK to block internet of KVM device Comet (GL-RM1)?

I use my Comet (GL-RM1) KVM only on my local network. To reduce risk, I blocked the device from the internet at my router. I also disabled the gl-cloud service after seeing repeated “fetch CA” errors in the logs.

  • Is there any downside to keeping it offline besides losing remote access?

  • The top LED blinks constantly when there is no internet. I covered it with a small dot of sticky tack to hide the light, but I would prefer a software fix if one exists.
