Opal router (GL-SFT1200)

Hackers tried to break into my personal email twice. So I disabled the Opal router (GL-SFT1200), and there were no more hacks. You need to fix the router's security with more updates.

Without any evidence, this is just wild speculation. The likelihood that the router is to blame for the “hacking attempts” is, to put it mildly, low.

Okay, I'll reset the router to factory settings and check the logs.

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works!

You won't see any logs that will help you, I am pretty sure.

Your e-mail account is mostly hosted by some company - you need to check what is going on there. And you should share the "evidence" about the "tries" with us. How did you know, that they tried?

There were 3 successful attempts and I have already changed my Microsoft email password.

At the time of the attack, I was using the following settings on my router: Proton VPN on the US server, and NextDNS.

GL.iNet devices don't fingerprint as iOS or Safari. They don't even have a web browser.

Ok,I don't use iPhone, I like Linux and Android.

Sounds more like a regular issue with account security to me, maybe some weird app or something like that. Changing your password and enabling 2FA is highly recommend.

I've already done that, thank you.
