another group of people that would be interested are in real life live streamers. Most currently use bonding service by LiveU or speedify because it is easy and it works. If glinet came up with a device for bonding different data connections that work well

Yes, if the AXT1800+ external 4G/5G dongle can do link consolidation and failover, it will be attractive to people who live in reality, but cloud router servers are difficult to deploy and manage.

money wise, I save money by hosting cloud based myself. I have a 4vCPU/5GB ram/ 24tb monthly transfer 1gb connection on a vps that cost me $55 for the year. astrowarp would be 12 times that amount.

I wish I knew for sure that self hosting is coming and when, it would give me some hope and guidance on what to do for now. $270 for a year on speedify for a router is high when over half the servers are blocked by youtube and the ones that aren't are 75% slower cause of the amount of users on them. Shame I have to use a browser surf shark extension to just pull up youtube after speedtesting a dozen or two servers to find one with good speeds.

I just flashed to my MT3000. Ran through setup wizard and had both modems DHCP disabled. Made sure different subnets and such. Spun up a VPS as well it connected to the vps only via one of the 5g modems it just kept giving errors on the second so I swapped usb and lan then the one that didn’t work suddenly did and the one that did now gave the same error. Swapped lan cables to see but no luck same issue. I give up for now ha.

GL.iNet rarely hits a given release date - even those given by @alzhao. Sometimes those dates never materialize. A release of AstroWarp for self-hosting in 2025? Honestly, I’d bet against it ever happening. That said, I’d love to be proven wrong.
