Openvpn issue

i have purchased the model GL-MT300A router it works fine as a wireless router however when i go on to the online site to setup the vpn it says vpn when connected when i have dragged my openvpn files in and logged in however once the vpn is activated the router loses all internet access ?

To elaborate reading the forum i found a user with the same issue and it was fixed by adding a dns like googles for example this also fixed my issue.
