OPKG update failed - MT2500

Any update on this issue? I cannot update in either the GL GUI or Luci.

@thinredline87 In step 2, how did you install the plugins if you can not update the software list? Did you upload the package from somewhere?

It’s been over 4 months - I wonder why this hasn’t been fixed…

Hey, you haven’t had any troubles pulling packages when installing, right? Can you post the output of your Brume 2’s opkg feeds & help @jhedfors out?

You can compare them against your own via LuCI → System → Software → Software → Actions → Configure opkg…

You can install single packages thru that same page (‘Download and install package:’) but it’s not always advisable as sometimes other packages are required to be pulled down as dependencies.

It appears that you have the same default sources that I do. When I refresh in GL GUI, I get:
“Failed to update repository list, please check your network and try again.”

When I attempt to Update lists… in Luci I get:

ssh into your Brune and run a ping out to the internet. Just to check connectivity.

So I SSH into router and at the root@GL-MT2500 prompt I type “ping Google com” and I get "ping: bad address ‘google.com’

What should I check now?

I do not think your issue is with your Brune, but instead how your set up with your WAN.

How are you physically connected? Are you using your Brune as your main router connected to your service providers modem?

Yes Brume is my main router (router mode) connected from my modem/router (bridge mode}. I have then connected my Google Nest Wifi (in bridge mode) connected to the LAN port.

I have Adguard enabled (top button) but not the second option on that page, “AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests”, and mine is working.

Good job on finding what was blocking your connectivity!
