Hi, I just got my flint 2 and I started to add some parental control config but then I upgraded to latest firmware and it has reseted what I did as it warned me
but I was expecting the new version to be at least as powerful of the previous
Here is what I managed to do:
block by default (Done via setting the clients as allow-list)
block internet under certain time (works via bedtime but awkward as I also block during laucnh time, and I have to set another rule for this, and so I have to make sure the devices are in sycn between both rules)
and what I could not do:
block some website under certain time, independently of the “bed times”
give a time budget instead of specifc hour, again independent of “bed time”
Thank you for clearly explaining how you would like to use Parental Control. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the settings after upgrading.
Content Filter can continuously block selected applications, content categories, or manually specified domains. However, it currently cannot be assigned a schedule independent from Bedtime. Therefore, blocking only certain websites during specific hours while allowing other Internet access is not currently supported.
A daily usage-time budget, such as allowing a device to use the Internet for a total of two hours at any time during the day, is not currently supported.
We understand that maintaining the same device list across multiple Bedtime rules is inconvenient.
We have recorded your regarding multiple Bedtime periods within one rule, independently scheduled content filters, shared device groups between rules, and daily usage-time budgets, and will submit them for further evaluation.
