Hi, I’m using the GL-MT3000 on v4.8.1.
I’m connected to the beryl directly with my macbook to test. I’m running in repeater mode using camouflage mode. VPN and adguard are disabled.
When I connect with the beryl over LAN, I’m getting up/down speeds of 15mbps. When I connect to the wifi of the source router, I’m getting >100mbps.
Any idea how to improve it?

Please check the following:

Is the upstream SSID a combined dual-band network? If so, please make sure the MT3000 is connected via 5 GHz rather than 2.4 GHz. You can verify this under Admin Panel → Internet → Repeater:

If the MT3000 is connected to the 2.4 GHz band, you can try adjusting the settings below to force it to connect to the 5 GHz band instead:

If the MacBook and the MT3000 are in the same location and both are connected to the same SSID on the same band, but the throughput is still significantly different, it would be helpful to compare their negotiated link rates:

The link rates look the same, but it looks like they are connecting to two different BSSID, and the beryl is getting a much worse signal quality from the access point it selected? Is there a way to try and force it to connect to the closer access point?
You can achieve this by enabling Lock BSSID.
