Power Surge! (I think)

I have a Comet (GL-RM1).

I cannot fully confirm but what I believe happened (because of the exact timing) is that we had a mild thunderstorm which killed a few of my electronics, specifically devices related to my router.
My Comet, my NAS, and my personal desktop were effected.

Initially, my Comet stopped working entirely.
Then it automatically started flashing the white light. I let it do that for a while (few hours) in case it was rebooting or something but nothing happened...
So then I tried to reset it by holding the button and it flashed blue.... But then it totally shut off after that. I couldn't do anything to turn it back on. So it was essentially bricked.

Finally, it came back up again (I have no idea how or why) but it still doesn't work... It just flashes white as though it needs ethernet but I have used four different ethernet ports which I confirmed work on other devices and it still doesn't work.

Essentially I think this brand new KVM is bricked... I've restarted everything connected to it and I have tried connecting manually and nothing works.

Any ideas? It sucks because I really liked this device.

Dd-wrt has an odd reset process. Try it.

If you have a GaN charger try that.

Might end up flashing it from USB?

The White LED is network led. it means the network is unavaliable. Maybe the Ethernet port is broken after the thunderstorm. you can mail to the cs@gl-inet.com.

Hello, thanks for the reply.
I did look into this but it seems a bit confusing and I actually got a ticket back from the support saying I might be able to get it covered under warranty (fingers crossed).

I am also buying a surge-safe battery just in case.

Hello,

Unfortunately I had confirmed that the other ports worked and even though I hooked them up, they still didn't work.

I have e-mail'd support@gl-inet and they said if I give them the device info, they may cover it.
Fingers crossed. Buying a battery backup regardless.
