I recently decided (perhaps foolishly) to buy this 5g module dongle and this 5g chip module from AliExpress, bung them together, along with my SIM, plug it into my Beryl router, and hey presto get 5g internet. Well, it doesn’t, and I have absolutely no idea how to debug the issue. It also seems they don’t have any drivers for Mac, so I can’t use my Macbook to debug. Currently all I can say is that the dongle displays a solid red LED when I plug it in. Any ideas?
Well, I’ve solved the problem. I watched this video, and realized that I needed to install those 4 little wires to connect the antennas. After that, it worked.
