It can always be plugged in using. The impact on battery life is minimal.
If in the home scenario, may consider travel router or home router.

Can you run the Mudi off USB C power with the battery disconnected/removed, making it basically a Spitz X750?

Because the Mudi v2 mtu is set up like a phone. If you remove the battery and for whatever reasons you have power failure then the Mudi will keep staying off after the power/electricity is back on. Mudi v2 power doesn't work as a router
I'll have to do some testing with the Mudi when it arrives. I'm really interested in this as the one I ordered has the EM060K-GL modem (global). I'm curious what will happen if I power the unit on with the battery in place, plug the USB C power cord in and then disconnect the battery. Will the unit still remain powered on? I'm also going to be travelling in Germany next month and will test the unit out on o2 and Telekom.
