Question over iphone tethering

Hi so I wanted to share my hotspot of my iPhone X through USB tethering to one of the routers, but I hear many hiccups regarding them. Also, many workarounds to get the router to work with iPhones is this still an issue?
I am open to looking at any routers.

Depending on your iOS version.

If you do not upgrade to iOS 14 beta it should be fine.
