Im planning to buy either the GL-USB150, or the GL-AR300M.

Which kind of OpenVPN encryption is supported by the preinstalled firmware and what encryption is the hardware of those small devices even capable of?

I think the default is aes-128-cbc, at that encryption the AR300M is going to get you ~11-12mbps download and upload.

Alright. Do you know if AES-256 is also possible? I really don’t care about speed, because my connection is slow anyway.

I use AES-256-CBC so it definitely supports it.
