Reloading firewall due to ifup of wgclient (wgclient)

I have been using my Flint 2 and Slate 7 fine for the last 4 months but today I was disconnected while on a call with a client and have not been able to connect properly since. I have tried troubleshooting my regular connections at both locations and they are working fine, also tried changing lan cable just to make sure and tested connections on my cellphone with wg client and got the same issue. I have not changed anything in the server or client, this is my log on my client (slate 7). Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi

The logs indicate that the WireGuard client is unable to complete the handshake.

Please try the following steps to narrow down the cause:

  1. Confirm that the Slate 7 has a stable internet connection. If the router cannot reach the internet, the VPN connection will fail.

  2. Test the same WireGuard configuration file on a mobile device connected to the same network as the Slate 7.

    • If the phone also fails, the problem is likely related to the network environment or server.
  3. As a further check, connect your phone to a different network (mobile data or another ISP) and try again.

    • If it works on an external network, your current ISP may be blocking UDP traffic required for WireGuard.
    • If it fails on an external network, please check whether the Flint 2 - the WG server works fine or not.
