Remote network access through mobile phone

I am trying to access a PLC network on a grain handling facility through my phone. Any way I can use a GL-AR300M16 and openVPN to remote into that to connect to my controller?

What protocol does it use?

Do you need to configure IP and port?

It uses ethernet ip. I can configure the PLC to run whatever IP address I want, just new to the vpn networking thing.

You can set the router as wireguard server. Pls check the general guide here.

Be sure to tick “Allow local access” in wireguard server settings.

Then, connect the PLC to the router and get IP 192.168.8.x.

When you connect your phone to the wireguard server you should be able to access the PLC via IP.
