Repeater mode doesnt roam

Hello,
Just recently bought the GL-MT3000 or the Beryl AX, and I've been taking it through places with a battery bank with me.

I’ve noticed an issue where if you’re on a network that utilizes a mesh system where the routers switch you into different APs as you walk by, the router doesn’t switch between APs, and eventually disconnects. My place has mesh Wi-Fi, the TP-Link Deco X55. It works fine on my phone, but the router keeps hanging on the first connected signal even with Lock BSSID disabled. I usually have to go in the Repeater settings, scan, and reconnect to the network for this to work, but it fully disconnects instead of roaming.

Firmware version is v4.8.1.

Has anyone had the same issue and managed to solve it?
Thanks!

Hi

Unfortunately, our Repeater/Wi-Fi Client mode does not currently support roaming. In your use case, you may need to manually disconnect and reconnect so that it can associate with the AP that has the stronger signal.

We will discuss this with the product manager and development team to see whether this behavior can be improved in a future firmware release.

Oh, ok. Thank you for your help!
