The fan in my GL-X3000 had the signature death rattle common to laptop fans whose bearings start to go bad. While the fan doesn’t run often, I didn’t want to go without it, to extend the life of the router.
There are some sellers on the Chinese marketplaces selling a fan specifically for the GL-X3000, but it’s just the generic fan part with a slight mark up. They also explicitly exclude the real part number: Elepeak B4006ASHNF2000TT

As far as I know, the Slate AX uses the same fan part number… though I have not confirmed this.
