Router doesn't reset fully

Hello

When I manually hold the reset button for >10s and the router changes colour and I return to the administrator panel 192.168.8.1 ip in browser; i notice that my previous login credentials are preserved and the router configuration is still present (it didn't reset)

I've since attempted to reset via the GUI but to no avail.

My MT3000 is configured with tailscale (I am using another device as an exit node) but it is not performative thus I am switching to Wireguard. The reason I want to reset the router is because whenever I switch tailscale to OFF in the GUI and hit apply, the GUI shows that it's switched back ON again?

When you reset watch the LED on the front. It will flash 5 times, flash faster 5 times and then flash even faster at which time you release the reset button.
If that doesn't work, then you can always reload the firmware using uboot if you're really stuck.
