Run autoupdate script when new IP discovered (GL-MT300N-V2)

Is there a way to run a wget or other command to update my DNS service of a new detected IP address. It seems possible with DD-WRT but I can’t figure out how to get this router configured (open-wrt I’m assuming).

The router connects to the client ip (modem).

I’m not but if there is an easy way to get it setup using NextDNS I’m willing to switch
