Running Openvpn server on 443 no connecting

Hello,

I changed the nginx port in the security page to not use 443 but when I run the open vpn server on tcp 443 it starts up fine doesn’t seem like any client can connect. Do I need to add any port forwarding rules or changes anything in the luci firewall settings. When I use open vpn on udp 1143 seems fine. If someone has got this working and can share there configuration settings that would be great.

I have the OpenVPN server working on TCP/443 on both the Flint 2 and Brume 2 routers connected directly to my service provider’s modem, and all I did was change the ports in the GUI without any other additional configurations.

Also, after I changed the OpenVPN server’s port, I exported a brand new client configuration file which had the new port in the configuration file and used it on my OpenVPN client instead of using the original client configuration file which had the old port configuration in it.

@DaWeav Interesting so you didn’t set any port forwarding rules, when I run in dmz mode it works fine but then all ports are open, so it’s kind of strange issue, thanks for letting me know

There is a firewall rule that I see in the LUCI advanced GUI that I didn’t create so it must have been created/changed by the GL.iNet GUI when I set the OpenVPN port.

Thanks appreciate it enabling that seems to have fixed it!
