I’m having a strange behavior. When I’m working throught the app the screen freezes but the key strokes and mouse continue to work…

Could you provide a short video showing the issue? That would help us better understand what's happening.
In the meantime, please try using a different EDID setting and make sure you're using the original HDMI cable
Also, could you let us know what device you're using as the controlled end?
