Self Signed Cert

This is working fine for me but I just tried to get my wife to log onto this and her ipad/phone/computer all will not let her because the self signed cert is in the 1970's???

Is there a simple way to bring this up to date? I've got no problem with a self cert but I'd rather one without bell bottoms and a cross flow engine.

Didn't 'ya hear? Everything old is new again! I guess my back didn't get the memo.

Seriously though, check these out:

Thanks, I'd seen that but I've been dealing with Certs of all forms for the last 30 year in my job and now I'm retired, I just want to be an end consumer who doesn't have to resort to things like GitHub.
I'm a big fan of letting the box do the work.

You're going to be in for a bit of a rough ride then. Even when marked 'stable' GL firmware should be best taken as 'beta' ... & a lot of patience.

I've got multiple bits of GL Kit, one has been running my Spanish homes VPN solution for a couple of years, it's been the most stable bit of kit I think I've ever used

That's good news, indeed! OpenWrt Linux does have that reputation. Try backing up your device's configuration files (these are just SBCs, after all) or changing out the DNS provider to a high privacy one with fully tuned up security parameters & locking down leaks. That's when you gotta start looking at 'popping the hood.'
