Set up 2x GL-MT300 as Internet-Router and VPN-Server

Hi,

i'm new here and hope that you can help me with the issue i'm dealing with?

I operate a station where i meassure the water level. There is no wired internet connection and power only through a fuel cell/solar panels due to the remote location.
I want to set up Starlink there. Right now i'm testing the 2nd generation but also want to test the Starlink mini, due to the low power consumption. With a Shelly device i'm powering the setup only for 5 minutes each hour.

I want to be able to remotley access the data collector to monitor the attached sensors.
I'm working on the set up for a while already but can't get it to work.

I have a GL-MT300-Router for the internet connection which i attached straight to the Starlink-Dishy.
I wanted to use another GL-MT300-Router as a VPN-Server.
Both Routers are running on the latest Firmware at this point (v4.3.18).

Can anybody help me setting up the routers, especially the router i'm trying to use as a VPN-Server?

All help is appreciated,

Mike

Just follow this guide and it should work without issues: Build your own WireGuard Home Server with two GL.iNet Routers - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

Make sure the „server“ isn't the one on the remote side and that your ISP provides you a public IP without CGNAT.
