Should MT300NV2 bridge work with firewall DISABLED?

I disabled the firewall to try SSH (was refused) but should my MT300NV2 bridge work with the firewall service DISABLED?

My router’s bridged clients did not have internet access when firewall startup is disabled. Toggling firewall service off/on toggles wireless-clients internet-access off/on.

I don’t need, don’t want, a firewall startup. I want to research all functions without the firewall. What am I doing wrong?

The firewall, is taking care of NAT as well. You cannot turn it off when working in router mode.

You want to set up the router in bridge mode, then you need to go more settings → network mode

You do not need to do other things manually.
