I'm working on the Mudi. I got a local SIM from Telecel to use. I plugged it into a burner phone to verify the APN, then changed the APN on the Mudi manually. I've rebooted it multiple times, but it's still telling me that the SIM isn't registered. It's seated in properly, and again, the SIM works fine when plugged into a phone. What am I missing? I just bought this router a few weeks ago and it's the first time I've used it.
Hello,
Could you provide the following information for analysis:
-
the modem debug file, download it from admin panel->INTERNET->Cellular->Modem Management
-
the system log, download it from admin panel->SYSTEM->Log
You can PM me the information.
If convenient, check with your carrier to see if the card is compatible with your router device. Some sim cards may not be compatible with the router device
Thanks
Quick update: I went to Telecel and they said that they think the issue is the router. They ensured that the SIM card is activated and functioning properly. They told me that in Central African Republic, the networks operates off of GSM 800, 900, 1800, and 2600 mHz, and they told me that they didn't think the router supported those networks. Anyone have insight into the Mudi's network supportability? I didn't see anything in the manual or online about this. Thank you!
May I know the modem module name to check the frequency bands supported by the router? You can find this info in admin panel->INTERNET->Cellular section.
