Slate 7 + m2 board with RM520N-GL low 5G speed

Hello, after updating firmware i finally force my RM520N-GL to work with Slate 7. But first test are very disappointing, speed is at best 30 mbits/s better than when i connect SIMPoYo uFi witch is 4G. I also tested same sim card with mobile router ZTE MU5120 and got 600-700 mbits speed in the same location. BTS is like few hundred maters in straight line with n78 5G band. So all paramaters looks good:

Are there any setting witch i can change to make speed better?

So i ran some speed tests today and what i got is:

Then i used the same sim card in my ZTE MU5120 placed on the same spot and the result was:

So clearly there is some hardware/software problem on router-modem side, not mobile operator. Any ideas where to search fix?

Hello, pls try the following tips to see if it helps:

  1. check whether the APN used by the Slate 7 is the same as the ZTE MU5120.
  2. check whether the four ipex cables and antennas are connected properly to the M2 board. try adjusting the antenna direction on the M2 board.
  3. navigate to cellular -> SIM Card Settings, change TTL to 65 and set MTU to 1428 or a lower value to try.

Hello,

  1. APN is the same.
  2. Cables and connections are fine i checked again, and antenas are in proper position.
  3. TTL change to 65 - no difference, MTU changes to lower values also no changes.

So today i did more tests. Results below,

RM520N-GL modem connected to Slate 7:

RM520N-GL modem connected straight to my laptop via USB:

Clearly there is some problem. Maybe USB port speed on router?

The slow speed is likely to be affected by the CPU and the hardware performance of the Slate 7.

  1. please go to NETWORK -> Network Acceleration to enable the acceleration mode or change to hardware acceleration mode.
  2. Go to system ->Overview, change the USB port to USB 3.0.
