Slate 7 Pro 5Ghz + 6Ghz MLO issues

Hello I have been trying to get my new Slate 7 Pro working with MLO, i have a few WiFi 7 devices that support 6Ghz around the house.

Devices tested :

  • Pixel 10 Pro Fold
  • Pixel 10 Pro (wife’s phone)
  • Laptop with MT7925 wifi

They all experience the the same, when using 5Ghz + 6Ghz MLO only 6Ghz channel is used, the combinations i have tested are :

  • 2.4Ghz + 5Ghz (works as expected)
  • 2.4Ghz + 6Ghz (works as expected)
  • 5Ghz + 6Ghz (only 6Ghz is used)
  • 2.4Ghz + 5Ghz + 6Ghz (only 6Ghz is used)

Android status for the 2.4Ghz + 6Ghz

Android status for the 2.4Ghz + 5Ghz

Android status for the 5Ghz + 6Ghz

I have attached logs.

I have also tried rebooting and resetting the router a few times with no change.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for providing the clue.

This appears to be similar to a previous issue we received.

Pixel phones are unable to connect to the tri-band Wi-Fi via the BE10000's MLO Wi-Fi.

This is because of MTK's MLO design.

MTK's EMLSR and MLO aggregations are mutually exclusive.

Therefore, when using MLO, MTK will not declare the EMLSR, but Pixel phones only choose to connect to the tri-band when declaring the EMLSR.

This is related to both MTK's design and the logic of mobile phone manufacturers.

Regarding MLO's selection of only 5G+6G, the Pixel only has 6G.

We're unsure if this is the same, and we'll conduct further testing and verification.
