No. Please don't do this. Otherwise your router will become bricked.
AXT1800 GL standard firmware is supported to connect the ExpressVPN.
Why not please? Isn't this what Expressvpn actually does? Can't I do this at my own risk using Uboot?

Recommend using the stock firmware (GL firmware), which also supports connecting to ExpressVPN.
I totally get that. I tried to set up Expressvpn using Openvpn available on the stock router firmware. However, the Expressvpn speed was significantly lower than its counterpart installed on a 3rd party router. Expressvpn has its own Lightway protocol that outperforms openvpn. That's why I'm asking.
Have you tried WireGuard instead of OpenVPN, that should be quicker
Great suggestion thank you. I did. I tried Nordvpn using wireguard an ld it’s much faster than openvpn. However, I prefer to stick with Expressvpn as they have slightly better IP reputation in the target city I'm connecting to.
OK good that it’s much faster, I’m sure Expressvpn wireguard was also an option via standard gl.inet firmware without you having to reflash the router but not a combination I remember trying admittedly, take a look. thanks
