SLATE AX SD card permissions

Hello-

Recently acquired a Slate AX. For reasons unclear, I am unable to write to microSD or USB external harddrive from iOS or OSX when mounting shared drives under samba. I've checked a million times, "anonymous access" is checked, "read/write" is checked. It also occurs when a username with read/write access is created and logged in on the iOS / OSX side. I can create folders but cannot write files. I am allowed to create the file, but will immediately get an ERROR code ~50, with file getting created with 0 bytes. I am allowed to read / download however, just not write. When I use the GLi app within iOS, it reads/writes without issues for both microSD and USB external drive. Has anyone encountered this problem and come up with a solution? It seems like the software isn't updating write permissions appropriately. Thanks.

Hi,

  1. You can try to execute the command through SSH to modify the permissions again.

  2. Turn off macOS signature verification.

  3. Force the use of SMB2 protocol in samba configuration.

Use a Windows or Android device to connect to the Samba share. If you can write normally, the problem is related to Apple system compatibility.

If you still cannot write, you can try to recreate a new Samba share rule.
