Slate AX setup as wireguard client

Hi,

Suppose I use Slate AX
and setup it as wireguard client for VPN such as Mulvad or Proton

Now I go travel international
and at the hotel they provide only wifi network name and password.

In this case how do I use slate AX,

I mean suppose hotel network is 5ghz.
Now slate acts as client to the network and connects to vpn.

Now my question is
will the slate broadcast both 2.4ghz and 5ghz vpn access points
while it is connected to 5ghz access point as a wifi client?
