Slate Port Forwarding not working on Basic Settings, must go thru Luci. Please fix

I have a very simple problem. Port forwards from Basic Settings do not work at all. I must go to Advanced Settings (luci) and add them there to get them to work. They should work in either location. Obviously this is a bug, because otherwise why have port forwarding even available in Basic Settings? Please fix this.
