Slate very slow

If I connect my MacBook by wifi to my home router my download speed is 80mbps.
Connecting the slate to the home router by ethernet my download speed is 9mbps, again connecting the MacBook to the Slate by wifi.

Why such a difference?

Are you connecting on 5G WiFi or 2.4G WiFi?

Try turning the home router wifi OFF, while testing the Slate wifi.

You might have the two signals interfering with each other.

Also make sure you are near to the Slate when doing the test, If you are in another room the signal may not be very strong.
